Instructions for Use SonoGuard
Application
The following Application Guide does not replace the official Instruction for Use for this product. Please read the Instruction for Use carefully before using SonoGuard ultrasound probe cover in a clinical environment.
1. Step:
The non-sterile person applies the ultrasound gel on the transducer face.
2. Step:
Sterile person introduces the first hand into and the second hand over the protruding most inner pocket of the folded cover.
3. Step:
Sterile person spreads the fingers of the second hand and pulls out the first hand, forming a tubular space in the most inner pocket for the transducer head.
4. Step:
The sterile person keeps his fingers spread to put the cover over the transducer presented by the non-sterile person and grabs it.
5. Step:
The sterile person extends the cover over the cable by pulling the cuff and holding the sheathed transducer firmly in the hand.
6. Step:
Drape the cover tightly over the transducer face to remove any wrinkles and entrapped air. Fix the position of the cover by applying one of the adhesive strips or rubber bands supplied around the transducer.
7. Step (Optional):
If there is an additional adhesive strip or rubber band provided, the loose-fit cover may be tightened behind the transducer to the cable to improve handling during use.
