- Allows excellent rectosigmoid exposure
- Facilitates double safety testing
o Air test
o Liquid dye test (Methylene blue)
- Sterile, ready to use
Sigmoid tension & presentation with the distal part of the olive
Blockage of the cannula with the proximal part of the olive onto the external sphincter to close the cavity and to perform the air/dye testings
Air pressure testing
This unique rectal cannula offers both rectosigmoid exposure and double safety tightness testings of the intestinal wall (air-& liquid - Methylene blue).
Such tests prevent any post-operative infectious risk (peritonitis) in case of accidental wounds on the sigmoid or on the intestinal loops.
The distal part of the ergonmic, atraumatic olive is used for the introduction, tension and exposition of the tissue. The proximal flat part of the olive is used
to block the cannula on the sphincter (during the tightness testings).
- Small-diameter stainless steel pliable shaft can be adapated to the patient’s anatomy
- Ergonomic handpieceSilicone T-tubing, 2 areas clearly identified:
Sterile zone: small diameter tube with stop-cock valve and
luer-lock for air/liquid injection
Non sterile zone: large diameter tube for drainage
- System is used for health disorders with opening of the
Douglas pouch followed by retroperitoneal dissections:
Medium & severe endometriosis,
Rectal incontinences (promontofixation),
Hysterectomy followed by treatment of prolapses
